Farming Minister George Eustice announced a new £60m grant scheme that will enable UK farmers to access funds for the purchase of new equipment. Announced in early February 2018, the Countryside Productivity Small Grant Scheme offers grants in the range of £3,000 to £12,000.

Though the scheme was announced at an event for the dairy industry, the scheme is available to all types of farmers.

Of the new grants programme, Eustice said,

By opening this small grants scheme, we hope more farmers will be able to access [new] equipment and embark on more innovative and ambitious projects.
